ReviewScout AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a mobile application designed to help businesses manage and respond to Google Business Profile reviews, generate AI-assisted reply drafts, and surface review insights. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2) Information We Collect

A) Account Information

• Email address
• Authentication identifiers (e.g., user ID from our authentication provider)

B) Connected Business & Review Data

(when you connect Google Business Profile)

• Business profile identifiers necessary to connect your location(s)
• Review content and metadata (e.g., star rating, review text, date/time, reply status, and any reviewer details made available by the platform)

C) AI Feature Inputs

• Text you submit for AI features, including review text and any instructions you provide for tone/brand voice
• Generated outputs (draft replies and insights) associated with your account

D) App Usage, Diagnostics, and Performance

• Basic usage events (e.g., feature usage, screens visited) to improve product experience
• Crash reports and performance diagnostics

E) Customer Support Communications

• Messages and files you send when contacting support

F) Subscription Information

• Subscription status and entitlements for Starter and Pro plans (including free trial status)
• We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Purchases are handled by Apple's In-App Purchase system.

3) How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

• Provide core functionality (sync reviews, show inbox, generate drafts, publish replies you approve)
• Operate and improve the service (debugging, performance, product improvements)
• Provide support and communicate service-related notices (e.g., onboarding help, important product updates)
• Prevent fraud and abuse and maintain security
• Manage access to paid features and trials (Starter and Pro)

4) AI Features

If you use AI-assisted drafts or insights:

• We process relevant text and context to generate suggestions.
• AI content is provided as a draft. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any reply before publishing.
• We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

5) Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information with service providers that help us run the app (for example: hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, subscription entitlement management, and email delivery). These providers are permitted to process data only to provide services to us and must protect it.

We do not sell your personal information.

6) Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data unless we are legally required to retain certain records.

7) Your Choices & Rights (Access / Deletion / Disconnection)

You can:

• Request access to your information
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Disconnect third-party connections within the app (where available)

8) Account Deletion

You can initiate account deletion within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). We typically complete deletion within 7 days and no later than 30 days, unless a longer period is legally required.

9) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information.

10) Children

ReviewScout AI is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum required age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11) International Users

If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

12) Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and, if changes are material, provide additional notice.
